Easy to expert

RockClash difficulty levels explained

RockClash supports four difficulty values—easy, normal, hard and expert—while preserving the same four-lane control language. Difficulty changes the chart feel, not the basic rule: read each lane, time taps and holds, protect the combo and finish with the cleanest performance you can.

VERIFIED AGAINST THE CURRENT PRODUCT · UPDATED JULY 16, 2026
Easy
Best for learning four-lane reading and completing runs.
Normal
A step up once lane recognition feels automatic.
Hard
For players who can preserve accuracy through denser patterns.
Expert
The highest supported target difficulty for confident chart reading.
01

Move up with evidence

Do not choose a level from its label alone. Complete a familiar song and review accuracy, misses and maximum combo. Consistent runs are a better signal than one unusually high score.

  • Finish the current level reliably
  • Reduce misses before moving up
  • Keep accuracy stable across several runs
02

Move down strategically

Dropping a level is useful when a new song hides its structure behind too many simultaneous decisions. A cleaner chart reveals the rhythm, after which you can return to the harder version with a mental map.

  • Learn hold-note placement
  • Identify repeated lane patterns
  • Return upward after the song feels readable
